Elected Offices

LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

   The lieutenant governor is the chief executive of a division and is responsible for supporting and connecting clubs. Lieutenant governors are tasked with hosting divisional functions (DCM, PCM, and DWF), training officers through training conferences, and distributing information through emails and newsletters.

DISTRICT BULLETIN EDITOR

   The District Bulletin Editor is in charge of all the social media platforms, publishing The Key to the Southwest, and serves as a District Executive. This role primarily focuses on the publicity and informational aspect of the District’s function. As a District Bulletin Editor, having a good eye for graphics and design and being creativity are good traits to have to fulfill this role.

 

DISTRICT SECRETARY-TREASURER

   The District Secretary-Treasurer is responsible for all financial and reporting aspects of the District. It is their purpose to ensure that minutes are taken and compiled, draft and submit the budget, review transactions, and send out financial reports each month. Additionally, the Secretary-Treasurer serves as an executive with the Governor. This role requires strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

 

DISTRICT GOVERNOR

   The District Governor is the chief executive of the District and responsible in ensuring that the District runs smoothly and properly. The role of Governor compasses supporting and training District board meetings, chairing board meetings, and representing the District at international and Kiwanis family functions. The governor can be viewed as the foundation, glue, and facilitator of the District.

 

INTERNATIONAL ENDORSEMENT

   International endorsement is pursued by an individual that is interested in either running for the international president, vice-president, or trustee office. In order to be considered a candidate, they must receive support from their home District prior to running at the International Convention.

All documents in your package need to be (1) completed, (2) signed by all required parties (other than District Administrator), and (3) emailed to KeyClub@SWDKiwanis.org as a single PDF file prior to 11:59pm on March 10th. See YouTube if you don't know how to use your phone to create PDF files.

 

Some documents require signatures of your Advisor and Principal, so plan ahead on obtaining signatures, so you don't run into problems with Spring Break!
